This also means that smartphones that support Google’s ARcore unless and until it is the Street View is available wherever you are.

Google Map’s augmented reality innovation has been open in early alpha mode to both Google Pixel users and Google Maps Local Guides. But now it will be rolling out to everyone. Looking at some of the features available with the early version in March, and it appears like the version today should be much similar. It would have the same ability to just pat on any location nearby in Maps, tap the “Directions” button and then navigating to “Walking,” then clicking “Live View” which you can find at the bottom of the screen.
